 What's The Good Word?

I walked into a convenience store, and as I passed the checkout counter I heard a man asking the attendant, "What's the good word?" I hadn't heard that greeting in many years, and it sounded great! The attendant responded with an upbeat comment about the much-needed rain coming down, and instantly there was a positive connection between the two men who were total strangers only moments before! So, what's the good word? Search around in that magnificent mind of yours and come up with something. In doing so, you'll raise your energy level, increase your brain capacity and raise your immune function. There are infinite good words to choose from! As a new greeting for the new year, try, "What's the good word?"

 Silly Means Blessed

In Chaucer's English, the word "silly" means "blessed." It is clear in the field of body/mind and spiritual healing that most of us take life and ourselves far too seriously. The healing power of laughter and play is well known, and we are aware that spiritual enlightenment includes an expanding experience and expression of humor and light-heartedness. So, add to your health and enlightenment today by blessing your heart with some silliness. If you need a blessed silliness teacher, you don't have to look far. Small children and playful cats and dogs are the gurus in the goofiness realm. The child within you is the doorway to joy and blessedness. Learn more about your inner child here.

 Find The Good

It is everywhere, waiting for you to discover it. It will lift your spirits, and improve your health and wealth. It is the good. Find the good in you and all around you, all day every day and in every way you can think of. The good is not loud and boisterous, and won't always reach out and grab your attention the way that crisis and tragedy will. You have to reach out to the good, and grab it with your attention. And what you will find is that the more good you find, the more you will find. Goodfinding feeds on itself, and you will find as I have found, there is no limit to the good. Right now and always, good people are doing good things all over this good world. Read more GOODFINDING here!

 Learn About Edible Schoolyards

Innovation in education is one of the most powerful ways to create a beautiful future for our planet and our children. Here are some wonderful folks doing exactly that. Check out kidsgardening.org, with the byline of "Helping Young Minds Grow," where you can subscribe to "Kids Garden News," adopt a school garden yourself, or win a rose garden for your school. Also visit edibleschoolyard.org, and read founder Alice Waters' article on "Slow Food, Slow Schools." She talks about a "Delicious Revolution," in which children have fun while learning, gardening and eating well. Our bodies, our minds, our children, our selves, all good, all one.

 The Healing Power of Humorology

At the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, children diagnosed with cancer are being helped in some delightfully brilliant ways. They have a medical play group, a drama group, a writer's workshop, mind-body therapy, yoga and a Lollipop Theater Network. Children also receive regular visits from the Big Apple Clown Care Unit, an outreach program of the Big Apple Circus. The CCU Clown Doctors use gentle parody to target the hospital, the doctors and rules with loving irreverence. They also provide "red nose transplants, kitty cat scans and chocolate milk transfusions" to help with the healing. Ah, blessed silliness.

Learn "The Secret" and Tell Everyone!

If you haven't already done so, watch "The Secret" on DVD, or read the book by the same title. You will find that "the secret" is age-old wisdom about the law of attraction and how you can use it to create a happier, healthier and more successful life. It consists of wonderfully clear and practical ideas and tools for enhancing your power as a creator. The "secret" is being told far and wide, and that is a very good thing. The more people apply this wisdom, the less victimhood and victimizing we will see, and the more freedom and responsibility we will experience. The "secret" revealed is that you are magnificent, and that you came to create joy.

  Be What You Have Become

Each of us has a habitual self-image. Your habitual self-image is a poor replica of the wonderful being you truly are. Just ask the people who love you most. They see you better than you see yourself. Get a clear picture of the habitual self-image that you live in, and you will know why you feel the way you do most of the time. Once you see this image, take a look at who is looking. The observer in you is free from judgment and habitual perceptions, and is more truly you. This observer that you are is spiritually free, good-hearted and amazingly powerful. Now picture the image of the self you choose to be, and step lightly into your true nature. Read here about Your Own Magnificence.
