Good News Flash!

Yesterday, all over the world, kind and good-hearted people quietly went about the business of doing the right thing. Inventors worked hard and long to create new devices designed to make our world safe and healthy. Health care professionals worked to improve our health, teachers did their best to teach our children, and entertainers looked for ever new ways to spark our joy, excitement and passion. City employees cleaned up our trash. Utility workers labored to assure that we have the water, gas and electricity we need to function and survive. Farmers tended their crops to provide food for our tables. Fathers played with their children and mothers worked to assure a safe and pleasant home. Mothers and fathers went to their jobs to earn the income necessary to support their lifestyle and to insure the future of their children. This is not considered "news," because it happens every day. But, please understand, this is "what's going on in the world," not what you're seeing on your television or reading in your newspapers. Those media report the exceptional, the unusual, and often the bad and the frightening. What you pay attention to grows. You decide what you want to grow.

Your Life Is Your Work Of Art

When you were a child, your life was in many ways somebody else's creation. As an adult, you are the artist, author and authority who decides what you create. The medium you use to paint the tapestry of your life comes from the rich diversity of your experience. You get to pick and choose which colors and textures to use. Your journey has given you dark and rich, bright and beautiful colors, mixed into complex, chaotic and simply magnificent patterns. Your future stands  before you as a blank canvas. Your life ahead does not depend entirely on the life behind you. Dip deep into the storehouse of your emotional memory and select the good, heart-warming and awe-inspiring colors and spread them in broad brush-strokes across your next moment, hour, day, week, month and year. Dip again, and this time select from the hard-earned wisdom and strength you've gained through your pain and turmoil. Use these dark and rich colors to enhance and accentuate your life, your work of art, your moment, your day. You have everything you need, right here, right now, to create the life of your dreams.

Practical Selfishness

Do you feel guilty for filling your car with gas before taking a road trip? Do you think it's selfish to make sure your kitchen is well stocked before having friends and family over? Probably not. Neither is it selfish to make sure you have the comfort, relaxation, exercise and pleasure you need before you go out into the world to give to others. This may be one of the hardest lessons we have to learn as human beings. Taking excellent care of yourself--body, mind, emotion and spirit is highly practical, because it means simply and powerfully that everyone you meet and spend time with gets more love, wisdom, energy, creativity and joy in your presence. This is practical selfishness. It is literally true that the better you feel, the better off the world is for you being in it. And it's your job to make sure you're having fun and feeling good! Selfishness got a bad rap because we think that the selfish person is taking away from others. With practical, healthy selfishness, you're actually giving more to others than you ever could otherwise. So, maintain your vehicle, tune your instrument, keep your heart and mind healthy and open. The best gift you can give to those you love is to love and care for yourself.

The Joy of Financial Freedom

The definition of financial freedom I like best is, "passive income that exceeds expenses" which is the definition that Robert Kiyosaki of Rich Dad, Poor Dad fame uses. This basically means you don't have to work for earned income unless you want to. The real beauty of this from my perspective is that financial freedom allows you to more completely express your creative talents and fulfill your life purpose. As far as I'm concerned, the Internet is one of the best ways to achieve financial freedom today. That's why I created my new web site, AngerManagementResource.com. This new site focuses entirely on issues and information related to anger. It is also a site that is designed in a very specific way to maximize Internet traffic and on line business success. If you are interested in learning more about how to create your own successful Internet business, I highly recommend you watch this video, or just take a look at this proof of the success of SiteBuildIt! from Sitesell.com. What? You're not tech-savvy? Don't want to do it yourself? No problem--SiteSellServices will do it for you! They even have a program for Work At Home Moms! These are great people with a great program, so if you're at all interested in building an Internet business don't hesitate to check out SiteSell.com.
