Celebration And A Free Gift For You!

This is the 50th issue of Goodfinding! When I started this newsletter in September 2004, it was quarterly, because I wasn't sure if I could come up with enough to fill monthly issues. Now, if I had the time, I could publish weekly or even daily issues--what I have paid attention to has grown! In celebration of this 50th issue, I'm offering all subscribers (and your friends and family) a free download of the newly revised and updated audio program entitled:

 Goodfinding
Optimizing Your Aptitude For Health And Happiness

This offer will only be available for two weeks (ending May 16), so get your free copy soon! It is a live recording of a 98 minute presentation I make monthly at Cooper Aerobics Center as a part of their Wellness Program. Of all of the topics I have presented there over my 21 years on their Adjunct Faculty, this has been by far the most popular. Learn all about the Benefits Of Gratitude, The Art Of Appreciation, The Value Of Optimism and Elegant Aging in this dynamic, updated program! Listen to free previews and see all of the topics covered on this product detail page. Finding the good helps the good to find you!

The Essence Of Goodfinding

Here are the basics of Goodfinding: Goodfinding is the practice of gratitude, appreciation and optimism--focusing on what is good, right and working about you and your world, past, present and future. You are an amazing being, with more capacity for vibrant health and happiness than you have ever imagined. What you pay attention to grows, and the survival-based problem-solving brain has kept many of us focusing on what's wrong, broken and not working so long that we think "reality" is a negative, problematic thing. When you use whole brain processes activated through Goodfinding, intelligent optimism and Positive Psychology, you start to see the "big picture" of reality, which is really quite beautiful.

There is so much more right than wrong with your body/mind and our entire world. The more you notice, pay attention to, support and focus on the good inside and all around you, the more it grows--meaning, you will notice more good and feel better, which will improve your health, your relationships and the quality of the contribution you make to this world.

When you practice Goodfinding regularly, your psychological selection process will begin to shift slowly to the positive, sending messages of comfort, reassurance and peace to your heart, mind and soul, increasing your overall well being. Remember, there are many good souls just like you in this world, quietly going about the business of doing the right thing and making the world better for us all.

Feel Good And Have Fun!

Let's start with singing and dancing! Enjoy this video of a "mob flash dance" in Toronto to the tune of "I Believe She's Amazing." And while we're in Toronto, let's go ahead and watch International Dance Day Flash Mob! While we're enjoying human creativity and surprises, let's watch this video of Tom Waits being inducted by Neil Young into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Regardless of what you think of his music, you've got to love this quote (from the video): "Songs are really just very interesting things to be doing with the air." Now, while you're in the mood, watch these twin babies discussing the meaning of life...sort of. I also like this amazing mouth art and this story about a 103 year old judge still working. Could you live in 90 square feet? This woman does (video), and likes it pretty well!

Now for nature and animals...watch this beautiful time-lapse video of the milky way and other scenes, the Born To Be Wild movie trailer, and this video of an instrument powered by gravity, playing "Jesu Joy Of Man's Desiring" deep in a forest. Bound to bring a smile, check out baby animals, baby bear pics, a photographer who saves rescue dogs, and a goose love story. And let's wrap up this issue with a Merengue dancing dog, a cat and dolphin who become friends, rainbow roses and some exquisite close-up Spring photos. Enjoy!
