Make The Rest The Best Of All

The rest of your day, the rest of your year, the rest of your life can be the best ever. That's what happens when you use the power of your intention and your will to co-create your reality. When you make up your mind that you're going to constantly shift your focus to possible positive outcomes, and connect with the feeling that goes with those outcomes, you have unleashed a powerhouse of intention. This ability you have to 1) decide what you want, 2) make the decision to create it, and 3) stay focused on the feeling of success literally unleashes your genius and natural brilliance.

So, whatever is going on, with your health, your relationships or your business, make up your mind that the rest will be the best of all. Then spend some time imagining what that might be, and explore the emotion you generate while thinking about those positive possibilities. This will activate your desire to create exactly those outcomes, strengthening your  determination and motivation to take the inspired action to make it happen. You can do what you set your heart and mind to!

If worthiness is an issue, learn to love yourself deeply for who you really are. If you (like a lot of folks) have a hard time feeling positive about aging, find out about aging with elegance, grace and style.

The Art Of Shifting Your Focus

What if you knew that your mental focus was a powerful creative force. What if you really believed that "what you pay attention to grows?" Would you pay more attention to what you pay attention to? Remember the three step process by which we create our own reality: 1) You have a theory or belief about your future, 2) You want to be right (it's human nature), and 3) You look for evidence to support your theory so that you can be right. It's that third step we're focusing on here. What you are focusing on is a result of your theory or belief. So start with a new theory, like, "Good things are coming my way." You automatically want to be right, so now start looking for evidence to support your theory so that you can be right.

Every time you see or think something that does not support your theory, just shift to something else that does. Seems simple, and it is. And yet it is powerful enough to literally create the version of reality that you choose for yourself. Is this denial? No, this is selection. You will find ample evidence to support just about any truth you choose--the question is, how does your truth serve you? If it generates energy, enthusiasm and optimism in you, then it is additive, contributing to your individual and the universal well being. Goodfinding is not about denying negative realities, it is simply about creating a primary focus on what is good, right and working, so that you will have the energy and wherewithal to face challenges and transform them into opportunities.

Great People, Art & Animal Wisdom

Let's start with a look at new proof that exercise works and what we have believed about aging isn't always true--check out the Louisiana Tigerettes. And here's a great one for Goodfinders...research that shows your brain gets more positive after age 45. Now take a deep breath, and watch this video about Carly, an autistic girl who emerged from her debilitating symptoms to eloquently and intelligently educate about what it is like to be autistic.

If you enjoy some good old fashioned ways and styles, you will love this video about a family owned sports shop that does paper work on paper, and this fine gentleman who repairs and gives away bicycles in his home town. And for those with a scientific bent, or just curiosity, here are a couple of videos showing a process of turning plastic into oil, and introducing something called quantum levitation. If you'd like to lower your stress level, discover how being imperfect could save your life and self compassion is even better than self esteem.

In the animal world, smile with these baby red pandas playing in the snow, and enjoy this family of wild gorillas befriending a very surprised gentleman. For some more rare glimpses into nature, watch this reunion of two old pachyderm friends after 20 years, and this murmuration of starlings.

And for the art part, enjoy this beautiful paper art and this interview with ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro about his "instrument of peace." If you're ever near Denton, Texas on the first Friday of the month, be sure and drop by A Creative Art Studio for music, refreshments and art demonstrations!
